New tour prep.... MICHIGAN

I'm not sure there's any valid excuse for letting my blog go this long without any activity!  In order to try to catch everyone up to speed (ha, "everyone"), I'll post a single photo from each of the tours I've led since.  Maybe that way I can bring this back from the dead?

Last July, after my Alaska tours, I spent some time in Michigan scouting for a new Field Guides tour I'll be running in 2020 (and beyond).  Having lived in southwest Michigan for 10 years or so, I'm really looking forward to returning to my old haunts, especially in late-May for peak spring migration.

There will be a number of fun targets but maybe one of the biggest is this beauty right here, the rare and sought-after KIRTLAND'S WARBLER:

So stay tuned....
