Ashley and I took a day off from curlew research and headed over to the Scottsbluff area and some of the shortgrass prairies to the north. Highlights included:
Ferruginous Hawk
Chestnut-collared Longspur
McCown's Longspur
White-throated Swift
However, the best bird was a GLOSSY IBIS in a small wet area just north of Mitchell. It was with about 20 White-faced Ibis:
